One Day Monday – Explore the Arctic with G Adventures

After traveling solo for a while, it’s a nice change of scenery to take a guided tour with others and have accommodation, food, and a structured itinerary already taken care of for you. All you have to do is fork over a big chunk of change and catch a flight to the destination.

One trip in particular that I’m saving up for is a 14 day expedition with G Adventures called Arctic Highlights and Polar Bears. The tour takes you through Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and the Arctic. The cruise incorporates 13 nights aboard the ship with all meals included, what looks like some comfortable beds, and a real at-sea experience observing wildlife such as polar bears, whale watching, and various other wildlife. In transit, there’s also the opportunity to get up close and personal with some glaciers and fjords as well as sit in on some on-board seminars.

Antarctica is becoming an increasingly popular destination, and while it’s high on my list of places to visit, I must not forget the other end of the Earth.  Can’t  leave any stone unturned when it comes to trekking the roads less traveled. With a trip this special, departures are few and far between so when the right opportunity presents itself, you bet I’ll be on board.

Ideal Location: Arctic Circle

Every Monday, I will reveal one thing on my bucket list that I hope to accomplish one day (get it?), and hopefully, you’ll feel inspired to share one item on yours. Let’s share dreams and encourage each other to cross one off as frequently as possible.
